Dear all, I've installed Google desktop on my XP VM & added my OSX documents & pictures folders but they don't seem to be appearing in searches - any ideas? Best Keith..
I don't think google desktop searches network shares. Try mapping the network share as a drive (i.e. the "Z" drive) and see if that fixes it.
Thanks for the response. The GDS preferences pane states that it automatically indexes network shares & I've also added the two paralles shared folders I use (documents & sites) specifically. I've now also mapped these to Z & Y drives, but still no joy. I wonder if the GDS crawler uses a protocol that the Parallels OSX/VM networking set-up or firewall blocks?!? Best Keith..
