I am planning to buy WIndows Xp and use parallels in my Macbook.

Can i buy an OEM pack and use, as i believe it is cheaper than a ful non OEM version.

Do i have to 'call in' to Microsoft when installing a windows OS.

    Kindly help.

    Thanks

You would be best off to call M$ if you are concerned about adhering to their licensing. It varies by type and version that you buy.

    Windows OEM

I'm using XP home OEM with no problems. The only difference I can see is you have to pay for windows support on OEM versions.

Use windows XP Home from VPC 7 ?

I purchased Virtual PC with Windows XP Home ver. 7 and it was never a satisfactory experience.

I need to download depletions files from our distributors that use a seagate program. There are three states that should be separate info (I log into them separately) but I always get the same state's info - IL for NM and NV. For some reason VPC XP Home does not differenciate.

That is the only reason I have purchased the core duo and parallels... in the hope I will be able to track sales depletions.

I am hoping I can use my legally purchased Home included in the disks that came with vp 7.

    any help appreciated.
