Hello, I installed the parallels program on my new MacBook. Following the instuctions to now load XP I get to the step where it states "Choose Default CD/DVD-ROM from the Devices menu." I have completed the previous step that had me go to the resources list and make the CD/DVD-ROM 1 link and followed those steps. When I chose the devices menu all of the choices that come down are not bolded (can't select them. Thinking that since I already did the last step I then continue to insert my XP disc, and clicking the Power ON button. When I do this my screen shades away and a pop up comes up telling me that I need to either hold the power button down or restart my machine. I do this and then start the MacBook back up and it is back to the OS X system fine however I still can't load the XP, same problem. I feel like it's ground hogs day doing this over and over, I must be missing a step somewhere, please help!! MIke
You need to download and install the latest version of Parallels (build 1970). The version sold in the box is not compatible with your computer. You can get the update by using the "Check for Updates..." command in Parallels' Help menu.
