I have parallels beta installed on my MacPro 3Ghz 6GB of RAM. Bootcamp entirely occupies another drive. I have XP SP2 installed on that drive. I installed the tools that we are supposed to install. I setup the VM just fine, but when I try to boot it up, parallels says it can't do it.

First error is a complaint by parallels that there is not enough physical disk space for virtual memory. It has 80 gigs to work with, so I'm not sure what that is all about.

I really can't move on from there -- any ideas?

Okay, awesome -- I am dead in the water. Going to have to use bootcamp until I hear why my Parallels has suddenly given up the ghost. This worked a few days ago, although I have never been able to read from the boot camp partition.
