I installed Mandriva 2007 on my new Core 2 Duo MacBook and everything works including KDE and the keyboard, but I don't seem to have a mouse. Once exiting I get 4 copies of the following in the messages: (EE) xf86OpenSerial: Cannot open device /dev/mouse No such file or directory. I'm obviously doing something wrong in the installation but I can't figure what. I've tried installing a bunch of times with different selections of the mouse, but same results each time. I've also tried with a USB mouse on some installs and just the trackpad on others. I've successfully installed Windows XP and Fedora Core 6, with no problems (except that the latter started out with a too-big video resolution), so the problem doesn't seem to be generic to my machine or the Parallels installation. sam
I found a solution after another install of Mandriva 2007 (under Parallels for Mac build 1970): I changed the mouse "Protocol" in the /etc/X11/xorg.conf file from "mouse" to "psmouse" and everything is working just fine.
