    Hi,

I just recently replaced my iMac Core Duo with a MacBook Pro Core Duo. I migrated my data and applications via firewire. Now when I attempt to launch Parallels for Mac, I get a dialog box indicating that it cannot communicate with with some of it's drivers and only provides an Abort button.

I've tried going back to my most recent dmg downloads, but I am unable to launch the Parallels Desktop.pkg.

Any ideas on how I can resolve this without starting from scratch?

    Thanks,

You have to reinstall the Parallels application. Once you do that, and reboot your Mac, you can double click on a .pvs file and your VM should start. the reinstall will not touch your VM.

The Apple Migration Assistant doesn't migrate everything (by design).

Do I need to uninstall Parallels first? I've downloaded the Build 1970 DMG 3 times. It opens just fine, but when I double click the the .pkg, nothing happens.

    Thanks in advance!

No, you don't have to uninstall first. If you double click the installer and nothing happens, you have an OSX problem. The finder should show 29.2 meg for the dmg file size. If it does, you have an Apple problem.
