    hi,
i have just installed the parallels version build 1848.
i have created a virtual machine, a custom config. my settings are:
    ram: 512 MB (i have a core2duo 2 ghz, 2 gb ram)
    harddisk space: 9000 MB

when i start the virtual machine by clicking on "play", my machine crashes, so i have to restart my macbook.

    can somebody help me?

    thanks!!!

I suggest you first upgrade to the latest official build (1970) and try again.

    Best regards,

thanks, now my macbook doesnt crash :)

now i have got a new problem:
i try to install xp, but after the cd boots, the installation crashes with a blue screen. i can't read the error reason, because it instantly closes the VM Screen...
(it crashes after the loading screen of raid/scsi/keyboard drivers, do you understand where i mean?)
i have tried with a custom installation, express installiton, with different xp cd's, but i am getting the error all the time...

if i could read the error notice... :(

Try to make an ISO image from your XP disk. You can use the Parallels Image Tool that comes with Parallels Desktop .... it's in your Applications folder.

Once finished, open the VM configuration, select the CD/DVD drive and choose "Use Image file" and point to the ISO file you created from your XP disk.

An other suggestion found in the forum is to delete all Parallels preference files in the Library/Preferences folder.

    Hope this helps,
    Romain
