I used the tools that installed with Parallels to increase the size of my virtual hard drive from 8000 to 10,000 so that I would have some extra space for testing a program or two. However, despite the utility claiming that it worked properly, and despite the Parallels property tab indicating that the size of the virtual hard drive is 10,000, Windows still thinks that the drive is 8,000.

What do I need to do in order for Windows to recognize the additional space on the drive?

    Read the sticky note

There's a sticky thread in this forum that explains how to resize the drive in Windows.

It's a pain that you have to go through those steps in XP, but it does work.
