parallels tools are loaded, but the media wont load into windows media player, i am using parallels desktop 4, and i am having this problem in both WIndows Vista and Windows 7, when i try to play the file by itself i get a message saying 'Windows Media Player cannot play the file because there is a problem with your sound device. THere might not be a sound device installed on your computer, it might be in use by another program, or it might not be functioning properly.' so i closed itunes and tried again, same problem.....

parallels tools are installed, i tried youtube to see if ican get sound off of that, no luck there.... but when i go to Devices > Sound it shows it as working...., i went to Control Panel > Hardware And Sound > and no sound device is installed.... ahhhh?! help please?

just a side note, havent done any reasearch into it.,... yet.... but is it possible to use parallels with multiple displays? (my mac is running off of dual monitor....), so in full screen (or coherence) i would like to have windows be dual monitor

ok sound issue is fixed, BUT i still cant add media to the libray.... i know i can use itune's but itunes cant sync up with xbox....

    Hello,

Could you please confirm the type of file you are tyring to add in Windows Media Player (e.g., WMA, MP3, etc.)?
You may refer to the web link below for information on the file types supported by Windows Media Player:

    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/316992/

If the file type you are trying to open is supported by Windows Media Player as mentioned in the web link above, you may try the steps below to play it using Windows Media Player:

    1. Right-click on the file you are trying to open.
    2. Chose the option "Open with"
    3. Select "Windows Media Player" from the list and click on "OK"

If the issue persists, you may try performing some of the steps provided in the web link below to troubleshoot issues with Windows Media Player:

sound was fixed like i had stated before,
and as for file extensions, they are ALL self ripped from my record collection.... so no protection on them what so ever...., lastly they play fine in windows media player if i choose to open it normaly (2x click, right click > open with > windows media player),

but like i stated no matter what i do, they just wont add to the library!, its kind of annoying really, oh well itunes it is, untill i find a solution
