I set up my VM with a 30 G hard drive. How do I expand/increase that? I am running v.4.0

    Hello Ronnie,

    1) Go to Start => Control Panel => Click on Security Center and turn off Windows Firewall and also Anti virus.
    2) Please disable the Parallel Internet Security (Kaspersky).
    3) Shut down Windows.
    4) Open Finder=> Go to application => Parallels ( Red Folder ) => double click on Parallels Image tools => Click on continue => click on " Choose " and select the ".hdd " file.
    5) Select the option " to increase the Size of the Hard disk."
    6) Specify the new capacity that you want this hard disk to be (increased size).
    7) Select the check box "Add the unallocated space to the last volume "
    8) Click on " start "

After the disk image has been successfully modified, the Execution is Completed window appears. Click Finish to close Parallels Image Tool.

For more information click on the below mentioned user guide link for Image tools.

    This should work.

    Peter,

After doing the above, do I still need to partition the space as described here?
    http://kb.parallels.com/en/5146

I am using the Parallels version 3.0. Has the procedure for increasing the disk size
changed in 4.0? Or do I still need to go into the guest OS to partition the new space?
