    I really need help to make my 2.5 Parallels Deskop's go back to work!
    My activation key (verifyed by Parallels sav) won't get to work!
    "The activation key cannot be used with the current version of the Parallels Desktop!" is the error message I get back after every trial.
    Thank's for help!

    MacBook Air revA 1.8ghz SSD64 OSX 10.5.6

    Same Here! Help!

    Same here! I was having problems with an old build, so the tech support told me to upgrade to the latest 2.0 buld. I did, and then decided to just buy 4.0. At any rate now my activation key doesn't work for build 3224, so I cant even finish the upgrade.

    The tech support, who is helpful, but painfully slow directed me here;

    I hope it helps. If you figure anything out, please let me know. I'm in dire need of my Parallels again!

    Hi Mickael! still no reply from the support team… and no answer to this problem. Then I decided to download a trial version of PD4. Thinking, just as you did, this could be the opportunity for an upgrade, and mainly the chance to go back to work with PD, the reason why I paid a registration. The install on my MacBook Air 1.8 SSD64 revA was successful, the trial activation key doing its job. But then, installing XP pro SP2 couldn't go to the end, locked in at step 2/4 seaching for devices by the virtual machine… not XP itself. Once again stuck, and no help. What can we do??

    Yes!

    ME TOO! My 4.0 install is stalled out in the middle as well! We are clearly having a similar issue. I really don't know what to do. I've done some emailing with the tech support, but it is really worthless. I need to actually speak to someone about it. They are not that into customer service. I'll let you know the second I resolve anything. Thanks, and good luck!

    Mickael,
    a pity you are not next door! We could demonstrate against their customer service in the streets of Bordeaux, where I live, drinking a few glasses of wine, just for a little relief. In the meantime I'm goin' to try something else: erase everything concerning PD4, installing XP with BootCamp, then re-install PD4, and ooops… try to retrieve this XP with PD4, as far they tell it's possible. To be honnest, the support gave me an answer about what to do to be sure of the "upgrade" but I didn't quite understand what they meant?? As far as I uninstalled PD2 before my trial version PD4's install, I think there is NO need for an upgrade procedure, hu? Salut! Jacques

    I too am having a this problem. I just recently bought a macbook for the first time, so I am new to parallels. But I can't get through the installation process because of a faulty serial number. I am even more frustrated becuase I bought the software off of Macmall; they sent me a download link, no software, no manuals. Is this the standard for paragon products?
