My comuter name in OS X is Shaun. My Windows computer name is Shaundows. That way I can tell my OS X computer apart from Windows over a network. For whatever reason, when I open Terminal my computer's name appears as Shaundows. In System Preferences, under Sharing, clicking on the Personal File Sharing Service, the path below the list of Services is //shaundows, even though the Computer Name is Shaun.

Anyone have any idea why this happened and/or how I can fix it?

    Thanks!

OK, I changed my computer name in Windows to Shaun, then restarted the VM. Nothing. I restarted my computer and voila, now my computer name comes up as Shaun in Terminal.

If it makes a difference, which I don't think it should, I have Windows installed via Bootcamp.

    Pertinant technical details:
Parallels Desktop for Mac Build 3106 Beta 3 running Windows XP Pro SP2 via Bootcamp
    MacBook Pro 15" C2D
