v4 has made windows so slow it is unusable. Plus when I capture my USB keyboard, once you press a key it repeats indefinitely. If only I could go back to the previous version, and get my upgrade $ back. I might remove the Windows VM and Parallels, then just use Boot Camp. Moral of the story: if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
I found using the latest installer corrects problems I wasn't expecting it to work, but I was initially going to reinstall P4 off of my Installer DVD when it asked if I want to download the newer version. I did and ran the installer (without uninstalling anything from my computer), and ever since I have been having no problems and greatly improved speeds. Give it a try, can't hurt and it was real easy to install/update. let us know if it helps or not.
I agree with T Bailey Thenew version out wil lcorrect the sluggish issue as well, windows runs smooth on our macbook pro...
Where can I find the new version? When I check for updates it says I have the latest version. When I go to http://www.parallels.com/download/desktop/ the version there is from December 2008. --Dave
That is the current version, and that is what I am running with no sluggish issues....I have 2 gigs RAM and 2.4 Core2 Duo Processor...No lag problems between OS's or while using them....
