    Hi,

I having problems with a VPN connection in my XP virtual machine, after entering the name/password I get a 619 error.
I can make a connection with the same VPN servers from the hosting Mac (so I believe that means that the settings of my company firewall are OK).

Where shall I look for a solution? Does the fact that I can connect to the VPN servers with the Mac implies that the firewalls/rouers are OK or does WinXP requires different ports than the Mac?

I'm using Parallels 4.0 with shared networking.

    Thanks

    Michele

I would be curious if you found a solution. I am still staying with 3.0 5638 because the Cisco VPN in XP Virtual works fine up to where I work. I would upgrade to 4.0 if someone could give me some confirmation that it would work ok in this area. I'd also like to know if he memory foot print is similar, smaller or larger then 3.0 as I run a MBP is maxed out with 3 Gig of RAM

    Hi,

Please try to disable Firewall in XP-machine. This can be done from Control Panel -> Windows Firewall

If you have Parallels Internet Security installed, please try to disable it to troubleshoot the problem (I'm not familiar with Parallels Internet Security, so unfortunately can't say how it can be done)
