How long does it take to boot Windows Xp on your Intel Mac? I have a MacBook Pro (2GHz, 2GB RAM, 120 GB HD) and it takes exactly one minute from the time I click on the start session button, to when the XP desktop appears.

I have seen videos online that were much, much quicker. I have XP Pro, could that be why it is so slow? The mouse movement also seems jerky.

    Thanks,

Have you installed Parallels tools? I'm running XP Pro and my boot does not take a minute. It is probably around 30 seconds. I haven't timed it though. Mouse movement is also not jerky. I'm running MBP 2GHz 1GB RAM 7200RPM HD.

Thanks for the help. That was it. I installed the Parallels tools and now it is much quicker. I did loose the network connection though, so i think I will uninstall the tools, then install only the mouse and graphics drivers.

Thank you for the tip once again!

"Non-tools" mouse if fixed now, will be much better in the next public version.
