Hi! I recently installed Parallels Desktop to run XP on my macbook. I have been having trouble with my network. I can't see the workgroup computers in the local network. I played around with the configuration of the VM and by setting it to a bridged network I was able to see a couple of computers in the workgroup but not all. However I couldn't communicate with them. Then I tried setting the TCP/IP protocol to the network addresses and that did not work either. I am trying to do this for file sharing and gaming purposes on the Windows platform, if it matters. What should I do to fix this? Any help would be very much appreciated. Thank you in advance.
Hmm... Are all your other computers working fine? Is BootCamp installed, if it's settings are mirrored are they all working fine? Keep it on bridged networking, are the other computers able to see it?
Don't See Workgroups - HELP ** TECHNICAL SUPPORT RESPONSE NEEDED** There's No Fix Listed for the Not Seeing the Workgroup PC's. I just installed a version of Parallel 3 that purchased with my mac and I just now needed it for a windows to windows sharing project for Quickbooks (which QB said Parallel would work); however, I've found that after updating using http://download.parallels.com/v3/en/GA/Parallels-Desktop-5638-Mac-en.dmg this only allowed me to see my own computer in the workgroup but not any other. it also doesn't see the shares over the network so I can't map either. Please help! I need a resolution without having to pay for another version to fix an obvious bug if 3 people have experienced the same issue.
