I've created a Windows 7 Virtual Machine, but it I cant get the internet to work. Parallels Tools doesn't work either. I've tried to install it about a dozen times, and have been restarting and doing what the error message told me to do (attached below). Other than that Windows 7 has worked like it is suppose to. I've read threw some other peoples post and have done what was recommended and it didnt help. I've changed the "Connect Image" under the devices tab from "prl-tools-win" and "prl-tools-other" and it hasn't worked. What else is their to try? If it is relevant I created the Virtual Machine as "Type: Windows", and "Version: Other Windows".

    internet is not working

Hi, just yesterday I installed Windows 7 (7100) through Parallels 4 as an OS version: Other Windows,

and the internet is not working (also the sound is not working but I think you need the internet to download AC97 for that) so how do I get the internet to work?

Providing that you are using Shared Networking, tools are installed and internet is working in other VMs, could you please click Start -> run -> cmd.exe and type in the appeared window command "ipconfig /all". Then post here the screenshot with output?

Sorry it has taken me such a long time to respond to this thread...I've been out of town. I reported a problem like you asked and the ID is 302856, and briefly re-described the problem (but this thread is probably more helpful). Im running the 7100 Version of the Release Candidate.

    Thanks for your help.
