Alright I have searched high and low for an answer to this. one solution seemed to give pretty good instructions and seemed to be getting results but you had to see the Intel(R) driver in your hardware properties and I'm not seeing that.

Basically I have no sound in a Windows XP guest. It says no audio device was found. The Intel(R) driver is not there even after an uninstall and reinstall. Realtek AC '97 gave me sound but it was just crackly noise where there was supposed to be sound. After installing Realtek the symbol at the bottom of the parallels window started flashing (it wasn't before) so I think that was a step in the right direction. Any suggestions? I'd really like sound working or this isn't very useful to me...
