I'm working with two macs running Parallels Build 1970. I have XP installed on each mac and now I need to network one XP VM to the other XP VM. Is that possible?

Currently running in Shared Networking mode.
I created the same workgroup on both XP's with a unique computer name. I noticed one problem is that both machines had the same IP address (10.211.55.3) But I don't know if that is the only problem. Also, I'm not sure how to change the IP address. With my Windows PC's I do that through the router.

I never heard of Parallels until yesterday. So far I have the printers that are physically attached to each computer working in XP but wasn't able to see the network printers. I first tried adding the printers the Windows way and that didn't work so I used bonjour and I can print now.

I'm not assuming that I can do things the Windows way after the printer experience. But I don't know the parallels way.

By the way, I'm very experienced with PCs and running all versions of MS Windows... but not experienced with Mac Networking at all (except since yesterday). I tried contacting Parallels Tech support but they never called back. Thanks for reading this (and hopefully replying).

If your local network has a router with a DHCP server, you can use bridged networking and all your machines should be visible.
