I've followed the instructions to the letter. when I try to install from disc, icon disappears from mac desktop (10.4.8, 1K gb ram) and fails. When I direct parallels cd drive to image path (i created an .iso), it still wants to look in the drive and even changes it back to the actual drive from my image path. I can't get this thing to install. Custom, typical, express, I've done it all.

    Unable to install XP

    Very similar experience.
    MacBook Pro
I've made an .iso image and checked the appropriate box for installation from the image. On attempted install, it still prompts for a CD and then gives a failed error message.

If you have only one gig of installed RAM, try assigning 256 meg to your VM and 356 to Parallels (100 more than the VM). You may have better luck than with more RAM allocated to the VM.
