    Hi there,

I've got a running Parallels 3.0 installation with a Windows XP image. Now I want to migrate to Parallels 4.0.

Question: Can I simply install Parallels 4.0 above Parallels 3.0 and the Windows XP image is left as it is or do I have to reinstall Windows XP after migrating to Parallels 4.0?

    Any help will be appreciated.

    Regards,

    Christian

I have the same setup and converted (upgraded) to Parallels v4.0 from v3.0. I did this just yesterday and in anticipation of upgrading to Snow Leopard within the next couple of days. I did not have to reinstall Windows (thankfully). I got the trial key for Parallels v4.0 and it did its thing automagically. When I was done playing around with configuration settings and the like, I purchased the permanent activation key. All went smoothly.
