    Hi,
I have Parallels 4 running XP (on top of Leopard). I've noticed that sometimes the particular drive letter mappings (eg which network path gets assigned which letter in XP) shift around as devices/network paths appear and disappear. This is a huge problem because I've remapped "My Documents" to a folder on the Mac side only to have it keep breaking as the underlying "Home" path changes from being "W:..." to "S:..." or whatever. How can I tell XP that a particular Mac side path should ALWAYS be "W:..." ?
    Thanks!

Map the drive right in Windows -- open My computer, click Tools -> Map network drive, choose the letter and specify the Mac folder you'd like to have in Windows (if you don't see Mac HD then enable file sharing in Mac OSX system preferences)

This doesn't work. Perhaps it's a Snow Leopard bug. I just migrated over from Fusion so have no experience.

It doesn't matter if you map persistently via Windows or DOS. The drive letters stick but the mapping are "Unavailable" as shown with a "net use" command after a resume or restart.

The workaround is a batch file in StartUp that does not map persistently.
