Hello all, I have a Mac book Pro with Parallels Desktop (3094 Beta 2) Windows XP installed. I need to change the drive letter of my usb floppy from B: to A:. In Windows it comes up as B: is this possible? if so how? Thanks, Rob
Right-click on My Computer in Windows and select "Manage" from the drop down menu. In the next dialog box, select Disk Management. Since its USB it should be in the list of drives to manipulate/manage. You will find one of the tools allows you to change the drive letter assignment of drives via right-click menu in there.
Nope, Only shows up in the Disk Defrag section. No options to change the drive letter... arrrrggh Any more ideas. Its really annoying. I have a ghost boot disk creator but it only reads A: not B: I have disabled the floppy drive in the settings of Parallels so that it does not take up the A: but still no luck it only mounts the USB as B: Rob
Sussed it: here's a link that helped. http://support.microsoft.com/kb/836662 I deleted the A: registry setting and changed the B setting to A and it now loads with A: cheers, Rob
