    Hi -
I posted this before, but did not get an answer that worked.

I have Vista running on Bootcamp and running fine under PD4 before leopard.

After leopard upgrade I get the following error in PD4 -
"Unable to connect to Hard Disk 1
A file or device required for the operation of Hard Disk 1 does not exist of is used by another process, or you have no permission to access it. The virtual machine will continue running, but the device will be disconnected."

    When I go to ~/Documents/Parallels/Windows\ Vista.pvm/parallels.log
    I see the following errors

    BTW Leopard or Snow Leopard?

In any case be sure that you don't have any 3rd party NTFS package enabled/installed like NTFS-3G, Paragon NTFS or others. Also check if moving the BootcampSelector works. In terminal do:

    sudo mv /Library/Parallels/Parallels\ Service.app/Contents/MacOS/BootcampConfigurator /Library/Parallels/Parallels\ Service.app/Contents/MacOS/BootcampConfigurator.old
