Compressor states: "The virtual hard disk(s) cannot be compressed. Make sure that the virtual machine does not have snapshots, the vrtual hard disk(s) is not a plain disk(s) nor a Boot Camp partition, and you are not working in Safe Mode." A. I deleted all snapshots B. My disk is an expanding one C. I'm not working i Safe Mode D. I don't have undo disks enabled Still no go. What else can I do to make Compressor compress my disk?
Hello, Could you please send me the screen shots of the following files: Mac Hd-> Users -> Your User Name -> Documents -> Parallels -> Virtual machine.pvm -> Right click and select Show Package Content. Also, of the .hdd file show package content.
Thank you for your reply. This is a screen shot of the two packages (I hope you can work out the Norwegian GUI): Should the Snapshots folder be empty, perhaps? And should there be only one hds-file? One of them is rather old, it seems.
Hello, As we can see in the screen shot that the folder contains snapshots so first of all you need to merge them. http://download.parallels.com/desktop/v4/docs/en/Parallels_Image_Tool_Users_Guide/23365.htm After merging the snapshot try to run image tool.
I'm merging now using image tool. (An estimated 15 hours ... could that be right?) You want me to use Image tool after merging. Do you mean compressor? Or is it the same?
is compressor hanging I'm on my way, thanks for your help, but: Is Compressor hanging? It seems stuck with beach ball, progress bar no moving. Beneath is a dialog from Parallels, according to growl it says that compressor will use the computers available hard disk space. I cannot reveal it or move any of the windows.
Hello, Yes. The virtual machine has successfully compressed. Try to compress it once again and check the result.
