I have installed the latest version of Dragon Natural Speaking 10 on Windows 7, running on Parallels Mac Version 4.0 Build 3848. Dragon 10 will run, but I have not been able to get the headset or the internal Mac Microphone to work.

When I go through the setup process the system tells me that the volume on the microphone is too low and won't allow me to configure it. I have attempted to adjust it both under Mac Preferences and under Parallel Preferences.

Has anyone been able to get Dragon 10 running in this environment to work correctly.

My Mac is running System 10.6.1.

    TIA
    Elliot

I believe it is a known issue

Looking back in the archives, it appears that the Mac requires a powered mike. So even in the speech panel of the mac system preferences, I cannot get the bar to move with the volume up full. I happened to have a USB mike and that appears to work. If you google dragon parallels you will probably come up with the thread where this was discussed. It was the first hit for me.

    Good luck
