I used the Transporter Agent to create a "harddisk.hdd" directory (with files) and config.pvs file on the WinXP machine. I am moving them over to my Snow Leopard iMac. Once these files are on the iMac (~50GB), how do I get them into Parallels desktop?

    Got it to work

I moved the ~50GB *.hdd and *.pvs files over to my iMac. I then (eventually after unsuccessfully trying to install the VM using the Parallels Transporter interface) double-clicked the *.pvs file and Parallels recognized it and began to create a new VM. I now have a working WinXP VM running inside Parallels desktop 4.0.

I think this was a lucky approach that I had to follow because I could not get anything else to work.
