OK yes I'm a nob! I've messing around with my new imac and new parallels for the last few days trying to get certain PC stuff to run. Mainly some in house software and Autodeskl Inventor. Any like a noob a deleted the ntldr file in the main c: drive window, I can't reboot now am I dead or is there still light at the end of the tunnel. I have no back up or snap shot, I haven't really lost anything other than time. Help if you can Please
There is actually an article about that: http://kb.parallels.com/en/4751 It basically describes the same that Microsoft would suggest - get a copy of this file from your Windows CD and pass to to installed Windows.
Many thanks, I found a work around late last night, by reading a combination of threads. Biggest problem I had was windows admin poassword, I didn't remeber setting on and blank didn;t work, nor OS X password so was a little stumpped when trying to run repair! Anyway created another virtual machince then mounted 1st Virtual HDD to that machine, then search for the deleted file and restord it back. All fine and dandy now, and I've taken a snapshot! OT but would really like advise on config's for running Autodesk inventor.
