File Vault -- Yes or No?

I am setting up several MacBook Pros with Snow Leopard and Parallels v5. Management has added the requirement that the laptops need to be encrypted for security reasons.

I'm thinking that File Vault should in theory work for this.

At this time, PGP does not work with Snow Leopard, so that's out.

Will Parallels for Mac play nice with File Vault, and vice versa?

I have not previously used File Vault in any configuration.

If necessary, I can downgrade Mac OS to Leopard, and/or Parallels to v4.x, if anyone has had experience that shows that either of those will work.

 

yes, PD 5.0 is compatible with FIle Vault
