This is my first time using Parallels. I installed it and everything is running fine except for the internet connection. I am using Snow Leopard 10.6. When I start the virtual machine, this is the message I get:

The network adapter does not exist.

There is no network adapter on your Mac for the "Parallels Shared Networking Adapter" virtual network. The network adapter 0 will be disconnected.

I am running Windows XP and there is no wifi connection detected.

Hi, the version you are using - 4.0.3540.209168 - is too old, it doesn't have SnowLeopard support.

Please uninstall this version (it will keep VMs), then download and install the latest version of Parallels Desktop 4.0. The link can be obtained in http://kb.parallels.com/en/5802
