I created a BootCamp partition on my MacBook Pro, and then followed the instructions for the beta to use that partition in Parallels. Everything was working perfectly. UNTIL I tried to go back into BootCamp (e.g. holding down option to boot into Windows). Now the computer does not recognize any key presses at start-up at all. Currently, if I select the Windows partition at start-up, I cannot Press ENTER to select the non-Parallels profile (and thus boot Windows). Press F8 to enter advanced setup. Press ANY key to boot a Windows CD. However, as I said, the OS X partition and Parallels work just fine. Has anyone else experienced this? Do I have any option other than reinstall?
I've experienced this but it is not Parallels related. I own a MacBook Pro C2D and depending on how long I press the option key to get the booting options my keyboard freezes. This should be an Apple Firmware problem. That's a trial and error process. For me it works it I only press option during Shime and use the mouse to select the boot disk. Your mileage may vary.
Yep, that is exactly my machine (MacBook Pro C2D). You get it to work only holding the option during shime? If I let go by the time the shime ends, I just get OS X.
