I am having an issue with parallels tools. I cannot uninstall it or update it. I get an error that says it cannot determine the current version. Any help?

Try to put on "Install Parallels Tools..." in Actions from Parallels's menu.
They mast uninstall themselves and correct version install.

Try to run Parallels from "Applicantion", not by icon on Desktop.

Can't uninstall Parallels tools for boot camp

Can't uninstall Parallels tools for boot camp

I had Boot camp running with parallels 3036. I had a problem with windows and reinstalled XP. I just installed boot camp on my mac and uninstalled 3036. I installed Parallels tools for boot camp (Parallels-Tools-Bcp-1.0.3.-win) I would now like to install parallels 3120 (I believe the latest beta). It says I need to uninstall parallels for boot camp first.

Parallels tools for boot camp is not listed under the add/remove hardware/software control panel. I rebooted in safe mode. No difference. How do I uninstall this crap. I may even want to uninstall parallels but would like to remove the tools for bootcamp. How do I do it???

I was having the same problem and spent *way* too much time trying to find a fix. I hacked the registry; searched for and deleted files; and tried contacting support --- all without success. In the end, I wiped out the entire HDD disk image on the Mac side and started over from scratch. Painful.
