    Hello,

I have snow Leopard and managed to use windows xp fine on Parellel's 4 but I have upgraded to windows 7 and can access both windows xp and windows 7 on parellels 4 but the problem is that I only want to use 7 and have all the old software and files copied across from xp...... is there a a way plse..?

i thought it would be automatic...

I understand that you'd like to migrate / upgrade from XP to Windows 7. That's a Windows task, not a Parallels task. Not sure if you can do that with Windows.

    Hello,

I already have xp installed.... I have just installed windows 7 but the 2 operating systems are seperate in parallels.... is there a way to copy all my programs from xp across to windows 7 rather then installing them all again?

    thanks

Don't think so. If you had Vista, you could upgrade and keep your old programs. With XP, I'm pretty sure you're going to have to reinstall the programs. As to how to move data across from XP to Vista, you could alway use a jump drive if you can't copy and paste.

    Hi Karl,
from virtual hard drive with Win XP you can move to VHD with Win 7 only data; applications have to be installed on new Wndows 7 VM.
