I re-installed Parallels 4.0 and Windows XP and everything is working wonderfully so far. I tried installing a program and it said I had insufficient RAM. It required 1GB and it showed I only had 512 MB. I have 4GB on my Macbook. What is this reason, or can it be changed?
shut down the Virtual Machine but don't quit Parallels Select this menu entry: Virtual Machine -> Configure In the dialog box that appears, select the tab "General" There you can set your VM's memory. I would recommend not to go beyond 1 GB, maybe 1.5 on your set up. Good luck!
this is how good my mac book pro is is it fine to go beyond 1.5 with this one Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo Processor Speed: 3.06 GHz Number Of Processors: 1 Total Number Of Cores: 2 L2 Cache: 6 MB Memory: 8 GB and i have this that i cant use on parallels which i want to find away to use it NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT: Chipset Model: NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT Type: GPU Bus: PCIe PCIe Lane Width: x16 VRAM (Total): 512 MB

there is no way you can play GTA 4 with Parallels, it's even struggling with Bootcamp on my MacBook Pro 5,3 (30FPS @ Xbox settings)
Hi, currently, you cannot run GTA 4 in Parallels Desktop 5. Parallels is working on it, but no exact ETA can be given.
