Hello, I've searched the forums and done everything everyone else has tried. I've also followed the manual, and deleted network connections and re-added them, still with absolutely no internet connectivity on my VM , whereas my mac is browsing fine on the internet etc. I've just purchased the product, and checked to make sure I'm at the latest version 5 build, which I am. I run an macbook pro and am trying to connect via WiFi internet. To post my screen shot it wants a url, which I Don't have. I have all 0's for IP address , subnet mask and DHCP/DNS servers are set to 10.0.1.1 When I try ipconfig /renew, I get " The system cannot find the file specified" , but it will do ipconfig /release jut fine
Try to switch to Shared Networking. If this doesn't help, please click Start -> Run and execute cmd.exe. Type in the appeared window command "ipconfig /all". Then, without closing the window, click Parallels Destkop menu "Help"->"Report a Problem", send a problem report (it is not necessary to provide description) and post here the report ID.
First of all, please upgrade the Parallels Desktop to the latest build - 9310 If this doesn't help, please reset the Windows TCP/IP configuration: open Command Prompt in Windows (Start > Run.. > type 'cmd' > OK) And enter following command: netsh winsock reset Restart Windows and use next command: netsh int ip reset reset.log Restart Windows once again.
Hello, I did as you asked and got an error when typing in the 1st CMD command. "The system cannot find the file specified." I did research on this, found that my DNS service in windows wasn't active. I took these steps (For those of you who might have the same problem) Right-click My Computer, click Manage, expand Services and Applications under Computer Management, and then click Services. Verify that the DHCP Client service is running. If the service is stopped, right-click DHCP Client, and then click Start. (In my case the service was stopped) I found that if you switch the connection in the Parallels tools from shared to bridged or visa versa, it stops the DHCP client and then doesn't restart it.. I've tested this several times. Short story, I fixed it, thanks for your assistance.
I am having the same problem. i have the brand new mac, and the up to date parallels. my case # is 3169930. I followed the thread from shan summa, and still get the message "no connections detected". the window prompts me to "install a driver for your network". what should i do?
