Hey guys, I just put Vista on my desktop and it's slick (in more of a new-tech way than a useful way). I was wondering if I can run Vista on my MacBook Pro like I had XP. Boot Camp Partition + Parallels in Mac Native Boot Can this same setup be achieved in Parallels? Thanks!
Slick in a not-very-useful way? Then Vista is not very useful to you! Anyway, if you want to use Vista the way you want on your Macbook Pro, I suggest you wait until the current beta of Parallels officially goes out of beta and is released. If you attempt to use the current beta with Windows Vista installed using Boot Camp (even Boot Camp already may have problems since the current version of Boot Camp has no driver support for Vista) you may encounter unknown serious problems. Personally I am not going to "upgrade" my PC to Vista (XP is pretty good enough) since I do not want to have Vista lock out my computer if its piracy checks go wrong in any way (and it will, I can assure you), not to say its much higher hardware requirements. On my Macbook I use Windows 2000 and XP in Parallels (no Boot Camp).
