Hi, since 10.6.3 update my complete MBP locks-up after a couple of minutes using Parallels Win-7 VM.

I can't move the mouse any longer, the keyboard doesn't react (only the caps-lock key led works but I assume this is hardware triggered without any OS interaction). I can re-animate my MBP only by hard-shutdown.

I have installed the latest Parallels tools, I have disabled 3D graphics support.

I haven't found any pattern yet, but it might happen more frequent if I use network traffic like SFTP. But this is only a slighty guess.

Any ideas, solutions, workarounds for this problem? This problem is locking-up my whole development process at the moment.

    Hi Robert,

I'd suggest you de-install Parallels Desktop (keeping your VM), reboot the Mac, and re-install Parallels Desktop. Maybe that helps?

Hi, it did help. Thanks for the tip. I read in other posts that it could help but was not convinced.

Nice side-effect: Full-text search in mail.app re-started to work again, spotlight MDS process no longer kills my MBP because it's always running.

So, clean de-install and re-install of Parallels 5 seems to help.
