I installed CentOS 4.4 as a VM in 3120 RC1 and it will not boot from the (default) smp kernel. I have to specify the non-smp kernel for it to boot.

Is this normal or should I try backing down on the Parallels version?

    Thanks.

as parallels doesnt yet support mutiple cores, this sounds normal.

    Hi PatgMac,

It's normal because Parallel only create 1 Virtual CPU, so all VM only see 1 CPU. If you absolutely need 2 VirtualCPU, I suggest you look at the Beta of VMWare Fusion, I think they have that... But the current beta was very slow because of the Debug options are On and you can't turn it off.
