Is Win XP hosts file separate from Mac OS X hosts?

    HostsMan is a nifty Windows utility that I use to keep synched with the MVPS Hosts file. Question is, how does a Win XP Hosts interact with the Mac's hosts?

    Just in case anyone is wondering,the hosts files are apparently independent.
