I have a new iMac 27 and just in stalled Parallels5(temporary). I dropped in the Win64 disk and went through the install process. The install has locked up the install at "BOOTMGR is missing, Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart" I am new to a Mac. I called MS Support and they said because the computer won't operate like a PC ie restart the machine with the disk in it in PC mode, not able to right click on the setup.exe file to "repair", they wanted to reformat the drive, and other things I can not remember. After an hour talking with India and Philippino support people they gave up and suggested I talk with a Mac support person. This is the second iMac I have installed Parallels and Win7 on in the last couple of days and it did not give me any problems with the install. Is there anyone who can help me with the install? Thanks Andy
Got it I shutdown Parallels and restarted it. I was then able to reinstall Win7 but I had to give it a new name because the first Win7 was partially installed. I guess I can delete the first install and then change the name of the second install back to Win7. MS support in India is now talking with me about the new install with a new key #. Win7 is now installed.
