I had some trouble trying to figure out how to use Aero, specifically 3D flip, when I stumbled upon the correct keyboard shortcut. command + control + tab (press tab to flip between screens) I hope someone finds this helpful. It took me for ever to figure this out since I couldn't find a good list of Windows 7/PD keyboard shortcuts... Does anyone know how I can remap a new shortcut to the keyboard to get Aero working? Thx
To my knowledge Aero can't be turned on or off with a key... it's a setting accessible from Windows' System control panel.
I know, the keyboard combo i used was to get the Aero 3D flip to work from my desktop. Normally its the windows button plus tab (i think) but on my iMac it wasn't working. iMac uses the same key combo to flip between apps. Your right, Areo is turned on/off from the control panel...
What's worse, after figuring out how to do the Twist with my fingers and getting Aero Flip to work, I can Flip thru open apps, but then when I stop with the one I want as the front Flip display and let go of the keys, it just stays there in Flip mode. Gotta hit the keys a second time to get it to decloak and come to the fore. Nice first try for a beta. Er...oh, yeah, this isn't beta any more.
Yeah, there are some aspects to the mapping of the Mac keyboard to Windows that are a little unpolished, I agree... I'm always having a very hard time invoking (and then getting rid of) 3d flip; I recall having to hit the "CTRL" key repeatedly to get out of 3d flip...
