Hi there, I just loaded desktop 5 and Windows 7. On the Windows desktop it added all my files that were on the Mac desktop. When I deleted these files from the Windows desktop it also deleted it from the Mac desktop. How do I stop this from happening. Also is there a good resource that anyone can point me to on how to effectively work with Parallel desktop 5/Windows 7 Thanks Zeya
Check your configuration. Configure -> Options -> Shared Profile -> deselect the Enable Shared Profile option to keep your Mac and Windows folders separate and not synchronized. Every configuration window has a ? button so you can read what all the options do. If there's something you want to do and can't find it in the documentation or Help menu, then you can always ask here. There's a Getting Started.pdf file on the installation disk (the .dmg that you can download from Parallels Website). This document can be downloaded separately if you select Online Documentation from the Parallels Desktop Help menu. There's also a Getting Started menu option in the Parallels Desktop Help menu.
