I left Windows in a suspended state in Parallels and now when I try to resume, I get the following error dialog: Fatal error occurred in the virtual machine "Microsoft Windows XP." I'm attaching a screen capture of the message.

    I'm running Parallels 4.0 on Leopard 10.5.8.

Does anyone know how to resolve this issue?

I hope there's a solution to this- I'm getting the same error every time I try to run XP in Parallels 4, so Parallels has suddenly become 100% useless.

I have the same issue with an XP guest on OS X 10.6.4 in Parallels 5 9370. I'm searching for a way to clear the suspended state of the VM and just force a restart. There ought to be a tool for that.

Have you looked in the .pvm (virtual machine bundle) for anything related to pause/resume state? When I do a suspend in Parallels Desktop 5, I see the following files:
    Code:
    {76d057e5-719d-4ea7-abed-2032b1b944c4}.mem
    config.sav
    suspended.png

Maybe if you delete them, it won't be suspended anymore. I haven't tried it. Maybe your disk will need fixing afterward. Duplicate your .pvm before messing with it.
