I've tried everything I could find or think of to get the Parallels tools to install. The system was working fine prior to my update to 5.0, now it is only marginally functional. Every time I try to install the tools I get error 1935, regardless of what I do. I've tried running it in compatibility mode, disabling and enabling .NET framework, and everything else I've seen. Nothing works. I'd love some help here. Thanks!
Install Problem: Parallels Desktop OK but Parallels Tools Won't Install I just got Parallels Desktop and Windows 7 Home Premium. I seemed to have no problem installing Parallels desktop on my Mac Sys 10.6.4 but twice the Windows 7 stalled with a note that Parallels Tools is not installed, then a "Windows 7 - Parallels Desktop" information window claiming Parallels Tools to be a useful set of add-in features.... a "Continue" box which goes nowhere - the same note that Parallels Tools is not installed. Also, the last window shown before the complete stall says "Load Driver ! No device drivers were found. Make sure that the installation media contains the correct drivers...." To which I could not respond as I don't know what's requested. I apologize if this is the wrong place to ask for help. Would someone direct me to where I should ask?? Leo rarefruit@san.rr.com
Win 7 Pro x32 build 7600 problem installing PTools Hello, I am having the same problem installing Parallels Tools on Parallels 5.0 with Windows 7 build 7600. I also receive error 1935 after PTools fails to download, and also saying that a specific component cannot be installed. I have tried unchecking the .NET option and still no success downloading PTools, which I suspect I need to fix several other problems that I am having with Parallels 5.0. I have submitted a help ticket for this problem, but have been attempting to resolve this and other issues for a week now, and would very much appreciate some assistance. Thank you, Katherine
