I am getting a HAL.dll error message when I attempt to boot to boot camp after installing parallels. After some investigation it appears as though 1 false hardware configuration profile is being created in the boot.ini. If I remove it in some cases I am able to reboot to windows (via bootcamp) but the profile seems to be recreated after a failed boot. I have also noticed that it isn't letting me choose the correct hardware profile, it is auto selecting a profile causing the HAL.dll error. This is occurring on multiple machines with fresh installs of boot camp.

I don't know what the deal is with Parallels support but I can't get a response from these forums and I can't get an answer from email. What does someone have to do to get an issue resolved? Switch to VMWare?
