After spending all day getting 3 Windows OS's installed and updated, I now get this error "prl_error_operation_failed," and cannot load any virtual or boot camp based installs. So I have no idea what this error means, and it gives no indication of what it is, or why it won't load the OS. It only gives me an OK.

Anyone else getting this or know how to fix it without wiping everything and starting all over again?

Dan, can you please generate a problem report (Help->Report a problem) while this message just appeared and post here its ID? This will give us some technical information about this problem and possibly let us suggest a workaround.

Thanks. Very weird diagnostic in log.

    1. When did this start happening? Was it working anytime before?
    2. Are you upgrading from some previous version of Parallels Desktop? Which one if so?
    3. Do you recall anything specific that you did before it started happening?
    4. Have you tried restarting your Mac? If not, please try. If the issue still reproduces, please generate another problem report and post here its ID.

    1. When did this start happening? Was it working anytime before?
It was working right after I installed Parallels, and installed the versions of Windows. After installing Windows, I was doing some updates to Windows, and figured I should probably restart my entire machine since I hadn't done so since installing Parallels and the different version of Windows. After the restart of my machine, thats when I started getting this message and not able to get back into any of the installs of Windows. I did do the software update, and the exact same thing happened. I was able to get Windows to load, directly after updating. But after I restarted my machine, thats when I was locked out again from it with the same error message.

    2. Are you upgrading from some previous version of Parallels Desktop? Which one if so?
I previously had version 3 installed. But then I upgraded my system to Snow Leopard. So I tried to install Parallels 4. But had no luck because it kept locking up my system when I tried to re-install Windows. So I decided to jump to version 6 after I uninstalled 4 from my machine.

    3. Do you recall anything specific that you did before it started happening?
It was working > restart the machine > Not working.

    4. Have you tried restarting your Mac? If not, please try. If the issue still reproduces, please generate another problem report and post here its ID.
