Upgrade Activation Key - French????

    I bought a copy of Parallels 5 when they were offering a free upgrade to v6 when it shipped.

    I received an email today from Parallels with my activation key for v6 (which I installed a few days ago).

    When I go to Activate, I get the following error message:

    "This key is valid only for the French version of Parallels Desktop."

    Huh?

    I have exactly the same problem. I bought a copy of Parallels Desktop 5 English version.
    Yet I am send an upgrade key for French version.
    I have logged a support ticket already.
    Hopefully, someone will response to me soon on this.

    same thing happened to me - wonder if it's a glitch, where they sent the wrong key to a whole bunch of people.

    I also sent in a support request - if anyone hears a remedy, perhaps they can post it here :)

    Same thing happened to me! Glad I'm not alone.

    I bought Version 5 a few days ago online in the USA, received a free Version 6 activation key via email, only to find that it was valid only for the French version. Looks like someone botched when generating the activation keys. I've logged a support ticket as well. Hopefully, they solve this systematically, instead of in drips and drabs for affected customers.

    Do file a support request if you got the French Activation code

    Same thing happened to me. Just filed a support request, and it seems that it will be at least "2 D" (i guess 2 days) for someone to respond to this request, which is listed as a Level 4 problem.

    Maybe if more folks file requests, we will move up a few levels in priority!

    Keeping fingers crossed. Will try to post an update if/when I get a valid English language Activation code to upgrade my purchase of Parallels 5 (purchased last week!) to version 6.

    I am wondering if any of the free upgraders got the English version? Surely it's just an unfortunate mistake, but oh, my the frustration!

    Personally, I think the product is great. I think it will be even better if/when the documentation and communications are upgraded, too!

    I heard back from Support - they apologized for the screw up, and said I would get a new product key in the next 1-2 days. They also supplied a new temporary key.

    Yes - just file a support request and you'll get a correct key within a few days.
