I have installed Parallels mobile on both my iphone and ipad.
I am unable to link either to my iMac.
I have followed the onscreen instructions ( on of which #3 tells me to click the Mobile Tab which there is no table called that. Instead I click on the iphone tab but it then tells me to reinstall parallels. Not sure I am wanting to do that
    Can anyone suggest anything?

Are you using Parallels Desktop 6?

Which on screen instructions are you looking at? Which screen are you looking at?

    Did you try:
Parallels Desktop -> Preferences -> Mobile?

    Parallels Mobile not working

I have the issue with Parallels mobile not working in Parallels desktop 5.

When I first try to enable the 'allow connections from iphone' option I get the error
"Unable to start the iPhone service.

An error occurred while starting the iPhone service. Try to restart your Mac. If the problem persists, reinstall Parallels Desktop or contact the Parallels support team for assistance."

I've restarted my Mac, tried running as su/root, re-installed parallels, updated parallels, and ensured my software was registered. No change.

If I uncheck either the 'allow connections form iphone' or the 'send list of your mac's accounts to parallel mobile', I get the following error.

"Your changes cannot be saved due to an improper user session initialization.
The user session was established incorrectly. Try to establish a new session or contact the Parallels support team for assistance."

    similar issue

I am brand new MAC user and trying to set up Mobile with a Touch but cannot locate Parallels Desktop. I have the Parallels symbol at the top right of the screen. Clicking it offers a drop down menu but not the one I am looking for. I have tried locating Parallels Desktop in the Finder and clicking it there but nothing happens. I am beginning to feel it would have been a lot easier to stay with Windows since I know my way around that system fairly well. I believe I must have checked some incorrect boxes upon installation to not be able to access this Parallels Desktop Preference page?

You're running Parallels in Coherence mode which hides Parallels Desktop.

    Read the documentation at:
    http://www.parallels.com/products/desktop/technical-documentation/
    - Readme for Parallels Desktop
    - Getting Started With Parallels Desktop
    - Parallels Desktop User’s Guide

Just select Exit Coherence from the Parallels menu. This will put you in Window mode and you'll be able to see the Parallels Desktop.app and menus.

Maybe you installed Windows using the "Like a Mac" option? The "Like a PC" option defaults to Window mode instead of Coherence.

Thank you for your help. I have not actually done the changes though because I had to do a restore on the MAC and am just now reinstalling parallels. The display on the MAC was terrible but the restore took care of things. Hopefully the reinstall of parallels will not cause the previous problems.
