Can I use Bootcamp with Vista on external HD?

I have an image of Windows Vista which I have run under Parallels off of an external FireWire Drive. Because of graphics card limitations, I can't run some of the development tools that I want to experiment with (Expression Blendd, WPF, etc)

Is it possible to use Bootcamp such that it opens a Parallels Image off of an external drive? I really cannot spare the space on my main HD on the laptop, so if I could run it off the external drive with no graphical limitations that would be brilliant.

    Is this possible?

At this time, I don't believe that Parallels will open a bootcamp Vista image. XP will work, but not Vista.

Ah no, that's not quite what I mean - I want to move that Vista image (currently Parallels) and use it in Bootcamp, not open a bootcamp image in Parallels. Make sense?

The key thing is knowing whether I can use Bootcamp to boot off another HD?

I believe that Parallels does not yet support Firewire devices. USB2 should work.
