i am new to parallels and I installed it and tried to run windows 7 and I get to a black screen that reads: bootmgr is missing press control+atl+delete to restart any suggestions?
Is your Windows 7 on a Boot Camp partition or virtual hard disk? Does your Windows 7 partition contain a file called bootmgr in the root folder? If the partition is a Boot Camp partition then you should see it in the Finder when the virtual machine is not running. If it's a virtual hard disk then you can right click the virtual hard disk or virtual machine and select Open with Parallels Mounter. The Windows 7 disk should contain at least the following: Boot (folder) bootmgr (file) Program Files (folder) Windows (folder) Maybe the Windows installer put Boot and bootmgr on a different disk?
Same problem. Late 2008 macbook. Window 7 64-bit install. Not bootcamp. Anyway to uninstall and start again?
I'm trying to install Windows from a CD-ROM and get the same message. I don't have a clue what to do.
Change VM boot sequence. Set CD/DVD device first or check "select boot device" option and select CD/DVD during VM start
